Distribution in Iran: Alborz, Kerman (Gussakovskij 1933; Pulawski 1971). General distribution: Iran, Israel, Kazakhstan, Turkey.

Remarks: The subspecies Tachysphex persa nigripes Pulawski, 1967 has been recorded from Iran (Pulawski 1971).
