Distribution in Iran. Ardabil (Rastegar et al. 2012; Khajeh et al. 2014), Qazvin (Ghahari et al. 2011b; Khajeh et al. 2014).

Distribution outside Iran. Croatia and Macedonia (Papp 2009b; Yu et al. 2012), England, Ireland and Scotland (Broad et al. 2012 as Chorebus longicornis), Greece (Papp 2007a, 2009b; Yu et al. 2012), Hungary (Papp 2004 b; Papp 2009c; Yu et al. 2012), Spain (Griffiths 1968; Docavo et al. 1986; Papp 2009b, c; Yu et al. 2012), former Yugoslavia (Yu et al. 2012).

Host records. Liriomyza asphodeli Spencer, 1957 ( Diptera: Agromyzidae) (Griffiths 1968; Yu et al. 2012). It has also been reared from Asphodelus sp. and A. microcarpus Viv. from Spain (Griffiths 1968).
