Squalius cephalus (Linnaeus, 1758)

Remarks. This species was reported by Coad (2010) in Syria. However, Syria is not within the species’ natural distribution. In some earlier studies, specimens belonging to the genus Squalius were incorrectly identified as Squalius cephalus .
