Comments:— Spodocybe bispora is distinguished by its medium basidiomata (pileus 3−5 cm diam.), grey brown to light grey pileus; large and cylindrical basidiospores (7–8.5 × 3–4 μm, Q = 2–2.67, Q m = 2.28 ± 0.25 in this study; 7.5–10.5 × 3–4 μm, Q = 2.11–3, Q m = 2.56 ± 0.3 from He & Yang (2021)), usually 2-spored basidia, and gregarious on the soil of evergreen broad-leaved forests or mixed forests. Macroscopic features of S. bispora are similar to S. alpina; the comparison between them can be found in the comments of S. alpina .
This species is originally described from Yunnan province. Furthermore, it is currently found in Guizhou province also.
