FEMALE. (Specimens measured: South Africa – holotype and 1 paratype)
Dorsum. Dorsal shield 301 [298] long and 159 [140] wide, reticulate. Setae j1 21 [19], j3 33 [30], j4 27 [26], j5 31 [31], j6 46 [45], J2 53 [55], J5 10 [10], z2 25 [26], z3 30 [30], z4 31 [30], z5 33 [33], z6 36 [39], Z4 58 [57], Z5 58 [57], s4 39 [37], s6 43 [39], S2 54 [49], S4 49 [45], S5 42 [39], r3 31 [27]; R1 39 [37]. Setae long, setiform, smooth, sharp-tipped, except Z4 and Z5, serrate; most setae inserted on small tubercles; seta R1 inserted on membrane.
Venter. Sternal shield smooth, with 2 pairs of setae (ST3 inserted on membrane); posterior margin apparently with a median lobe; distances between ST1-ST3 60 [63], ST2-ST2 52 [52]. Genital shield smooth; distance between ST5-ST5 52 [50]. Ventrianal shield smooth, vase-shaped, anterior margin slightly convex, 98 [98] long, 58 [58] wide at level of ZV2, 62 [57] wide at level of anus; seta JV2 present and JV3 absent; round preanal pores posteromesad to JV2. Caudoventral setae smooth and sharp-tipped.
Chelicera. Movable digit 22 [20] long, with 1 tooth; fixed digit 19 [20] long, with 3 teeth and a pilus dentilis.
Spermatheca. Calyx tubular, flaring distally into a disc, 10 long; atrium globular.
Legs. Macrosetae absent. Chaetotaxy: genu II: 2-2/0, 2/0-1; genu III: 1-2/1, 2/0-1.
Specimens examined. South Africa: holotype female from Ficus thonningii, Modimole, Limpopo Province, 05-V-1981, E.A. Ueckermann; 1 paratype female from Euclea natalensis, Enkeldoornspoort, 24-I-1974, C.J. Colijn; all deposited at NCA-PPRI.
