Material examined. None.

Distribution. Western Atlantic—Brazil (Bahia, São Paulo, Santa Catarina) (Tavares & Melo 2005; Serejo et al. 2007).

Remarks. Previous record on the coast of São Paulo was mentioned only in the original description based on material obtained by FV “ Belen ”, st 29, juvenile female paratype MZUSP 16715 (Tavares & Melo 2005). Specimens are found in deep waters from 333 to 500m (Serejo et al. 2007), and in the literature available the number of individuals captured is low.
