Taeniothrips cyrtandrae Priesner, 1938: 479 .

Taeniothrips amphorifer Priesner, 1938: 481 . Synonymised by Bhatti, 1978.

Bhatti (1978) listed 19 females and five males from three localities, Krakatau, Java and Sumatra, as part of the type series of cyrtandrae . It is a smaller species than lagoenifer, with shorter antennal segments and sense cones, shorter major setae, yellow legs, and abdominal tergites III–VII with “fine short microtrichia” on the posterolateral margins. It is not possible to track this species through the available key (Mound et al. 2012) due to insufficient information, but cyrtandrae is reported as lacking campaniform sensilla on the metanotum, and this is unusual amongst Taeniothrips species.
