Taeniothrips major Bagnall

Taeniothrips major Bagnall, 1916: 216 .

Described from Garhwal in northern India, this species is widespread in China. Females with larvae were taken in August 2006 from Impatiens glandulifera at Nathiagalli, in Northwest Pakistan. Taeniothrips glanduculus Han from Tibet, Xizang, is possibly the same species as major . Moreover, major is very similar in structure to orionis from Northwestern USA (Mound et al. 2012).
