acroleuca Zerny, 1931

Pompiliodes acroleuca Zerny, 1931b: 6 (Taf. 1, fig. 4). Lectotype hereby designated, female, BOLIVIA, Rio Songo, with two labels: “ Bolivia, Rio Songo, 800m, Fassl” and handwritten label “ Pompiliodes acroleuca Zerny ♀ type ”. Three paralectotypes, two males and one female, with the following labels: first male with two labels, one printed “ Bolivia Coroico (1400m) (Fassl)” and a handwritten type label; second male with three labels: two identical to the other male and one handwritten label in blue ink “ acroleuca ”; female with labels as for the first male paralectotype.
Current combination. Sphecosoma acroleuca (Zerny, 1931) .
Condition of the types. Lectotype. Left antenna missing. Paralectotypes. First male with forewings slightly damaged. Second male with worn wings and left antenna broken. Female with apex of left forewing missing and slight damage to the right forewing and left hindwing.
Remarks. This species was described from the four specimens found at the NHMW. It was transferred to Sphecosoma Butler, 1876 by Simmons and Weller (2006), who assigned it to the Sphecosoma aliena species group.
