Agyrta grandimacula Zerny, 1931b: 21 (Taf. 1, fig. 28). Holotype female [by monotypy]: ECUADOR (don. Study); with two handwritten labels “Study don 1922, Ecuador ” and “ Agyrta grandimacula Zerny ♀ type ”.

Current combination. Agyrta grandimacula Zerny, 1931 .

Condition of the type. Wings worn, with slight damage to the internal margin of the left hindwing.

Remarks. Given the similarity in habitus to Phalaena micilia Cramer, 1779, type species of Agyrta Hübner, [1820], (designated by Watson et al. 1980), this species is probably correctly assigned to this genus.
