Type species — Pseudocriopsis modesta Melzer, 1931 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Body robust, rounded; antennae shorter or equal to length of the body; prothorax with obtuse protuberance in the beginning of the basal third; pronotum with similar protuberance; elytral centrobasal crest reduced to a low prominence, without longitudinal carina; distal urotergite emarginate.
