Type species — Oxathres navicula Bates, 1864 (subsequent designation, Monné, 1976: 586).

Diagnosis. Distance between upper eye lobes one or two times the width of a lobe; lateral sides of prothorax subrounded or tuberculate; pronotum without tubercles; ovipositor distinctly exposed. Number of species currently included: 16.
