Type species — Eutrypanus nitidus White, 1855 (original designation).

Diagnosis. Antennae with setae; prothorax with median lateral tubercle; pronotum without tubercles on each side of the middle of the anterior half; mesoventral process wider than mesocoxal cavity; metatarsomere I slightly longer than next two together. Number of species currently included: 13.
