Type species — Oedopeza pogonocheroides Audinet-Serville, 1835 (monotypy) (= Lamia ocellator Fabricius, 1801).

Diagnosis. Scape cylindrical, not enlarged toward apex; prothorax with prominent and conical lateral tubercles, placed at anterior area of posterior third; pronotal surface with a transverse sulcus and row of punctures near posterior margin; elytral centrobasal crest rounded, with tuft of setae; ventrite V slightly emarginate at apex. Number of species currently included: 13.
