Syringophilopsis tyranni Bochkov and Galloway, 2004

Representatives of this species are associated with passerines of the family Tyrannidae, and to this time were recorded on avian genera Myiarchus Cabanis, Myiopagis Salvin and Godman, and Tyrannus Lacepede from North and South America (USA, Canada, Peru) (Skoracki et al. 2016). Herein, a new host record and a new locality for this mite species is provided.
