Lycochoriolaus ater (Gounelle, 1911) New combination

Euryptera dimidiata var. atra Gounelle, 1911: 107 .

On the examination of the holotype of Euryptera dimidiata var. atra Gounelle, 1911, we have found that this species shares Lycochoriolaus generic characters as antennae subserrate and intercoxal process of mesosternum recessed and narrow. Therefore, we proposed the new combination. Euryptera dimidiata Redtenbacher, 1867 actually is a synonym of Strangalia melanura (Redtenbacher, 1867) (Monné et al. 2004) .

This species is known only from the holotype.

Specimen examined. Holotype. female, BRAZIL, Minas Gerais: Serra do Caraça, (P. Dorme leg.) (MNHN).
