Euryptera bicolor Gounelle, 1911: 109; Monné, 2006: 121 (cat.).

Gounelle (1911), in the description of Euryptera bicolor, mentioned two specimens, with no holotype selected. The following lectotype is therefore designated.:

Geographical distribution. This species was known only from Goiás, Brazil. The distribution is herein extended to Rondônia, Mato Grosso and Minas Gerais.

Specimens examined. Lectotype. male, BRAZIL, Goiás: Jataí, XII.1897 – I.1898 (C. Pujol leg.), with a green label “bicolot Goun” (MNHN). Paralectotype, female, same data as lectotype. Other specimens. BRA- ZIL, Rondônia: Vilhena, 2 males, X.1988 (Roppa, Magno & Becker leg.) (MNRJ). Mato Grosso: Sinop, 1 female, X.1975 (Roppa & Alvarenga leg.) (MNRJ). Mineiros, 1 male, XI.1994 (P. Magno leg.) (MNRJ). Mun. Cavalcanti, Vila Borba, 1 female, 9.XII.1987 (Monné & Roppa leg.) (MNRJ). Minas Gerais: Patrocínio, male, 22.XI.1984 (P. Magno leg.) (MNRJ); Passos, male, 8.XI.1981 (C. Elias leg.)
