Distribution in the Balkans. Greece: Lesvos Island, Profitis Ilias (4km S from Agiasos), 600– 930m.; Agia Marina (type localities) (Strasser 1976).

World distribution. Endemic to the island of Lesvos, Greece.

Remarks. No new data available since its original description. The only Megaphyllum species on the island.
