Distribution in the Balkans. Turkey: Belgrade Forest (type locality) (Enghoff 2006).

World distribution. Endemic to Turkey, present not only in the European part but in Çankiri, too (Enghoff 2006).

Remarks. The only species of the dubious subgenus Byzantorhopalum Verhoeff, 1930 .
