Distribution: India: Sikkim (Warren, 1922). Elsewhere:

China (Sichuan, Yunnan, Tibet) (László et al., 2007; Jiang et al., 2015).

Remarks: Although both László et al. (2007) and Jiang et al. (2015) restricted the distribution of this species for China only, Warren (1922) mentioned a male specimen collected in Sikkim. Nevertheless, due to the difficult identification of the species of the genus, the occurance of G. grisescens in India needs confirmation.
