Christolia graciliventris Cameron 1886: 249 [holotype ♀ (BMNH), Mexico, Yucatán, Valladolid, coll. Gaumer].

References: Townes & Townes 1966: 87 [ Glodianus; catalogue]. Kasparyan & Ruíz-Cancino 2005: 183 [syn. of G. delectus].

Remarks. In the revision of the Mexican Cryptini, G. graciliventris was treated as a junior synonym of G. delectus (Kasparyan & Ruíz-Cancino 2005: 183) . Subsequently, the type of G. graciliventris was examined by the first author and it was found to be a distinct species. Glodianus graciliventris differs from G. delectus by having mesoscutum with a pair of large yellow marks laterally and second tergite with preapical transverse white band and extreme posterior margin darkened, while in G. delectus mesoscutum is entirely black and second tergite with entire posterior margin white.

Distribution. Mexico (Yucatán).
