Thorax: Pronotum wider than long (2.7 times); cicatrices not delimited by grooves, with rows of black punctures forming irregular lines. Thoracic segments densely and irregularly punctured, punctures in black spots. Evaporatorium with black spots below outer translucent layer; lateral area semicircular, punctures on black spots. Superior processes of the genital cup small, reniform, gently excavated, touching the dorsal rim. Parameres dark yellow, contrasting with the mostly black genital cup; laterally compressed. Proctiger light brown, elongated (1.4 times), wider ventrally; laterally slightly excavated (Fig. 3C). Ventral rim in an open “V” (Fig. 3B); expansions not projected but tumid. Ventral surface irregularly punctured on distal third, punctures on black spots (Fig. 3B).

Female (Fig. 3D). Valvifers 8 wider than long (1.2 times); distal margin strongly acuminate and projected posteriorly exceeding valvifer 9. Valvulae 8 medially elevated, visible among valvifers 8. Valvifer 9 longer than wide (1.2 times), partially covered laterally by valvifers 8. Laterotergites 8 longer than wide (1.3 times), exceeding laterotergites 9. Laterotergites 9 flattened almost level with abdominal segment VII.

Etymology. The name refers to posterolateral angles of the pygophore black and deeply excavated. From the Latin. Nigrum (black or dark) and Cavus (excavation).

Comments. This species is distinguished from other Grammedessa by its posterolateral angles of the pygophore deeply excavated and black, and by its parameres claw-shaped.
