Diagnosis of Labiobaetis claudiae group of species (larvae) (Kaltenbach and Gattoliat 2018)

Following combination of characters: A) dorsal surface of labrum with submarginal arc of simple setae; B) labial palp segment II with rather narrow thumbJlike distomedial protuberance; C) maxillary palp segment II without distolateral excavation, apex constricted; D) six pairs of tergalii; E) tergalii margin with both shorter and longer setae; F) hind protoptera absent; G) distolateral process at scape absent; H) femur dorsally with relatively short setae (length 0.12–0.16x maximum width of femur); I) femoral patch present.

The L. claudiae group is known from New Guinea only, with the following species: Labiobaetis claudiae Kaltenbach & Gattolliat, 2018
