Genus Scelimena Serville, 1838

Type species: Scelimena producta Serville, 1838, by monotypy.

Composition. The genus consists of 21 species distributed in India, Myanmar, Vietnam, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines (Eades et al., 2015); two of them were recorded from Thailand. One new species is described below.

Notes. In the original description of Scelimena only one species was included in the genus (Serville, 1838), therefore according to Article 68.3 of the Code of Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN, 1999) the type species of this genus is S. producta by monotypy.
