Genus Coptotettix Bolívar, 1887

Type species: Coptotettix asperatus Bolívar, 1887, by subsequent designation (Kirby, 1910).

Composition. There are 62 species in the tropics and subtropics of Africa, Asia, Australia, and in the islands of the Oriental region (Eades et al., 2015). Two species are found in Thailand.

Notes. The type species of this genus was designated by Kirby (1910), not by Willemse (1930) as recorded in the Orthoptera Reference File (Eades et al., 2015).
