CAPONIIDAE
Caponia capensis Purcell, 1904: 232 [F]
Localities in Purcell (1908) and countries: Kamaggas and Steinkopf, Little Namaqualand [RSA].
Distribution in WSC: Mozambique, RSA.
*Actual current distribution: RSA, Nam.
Recent taxonomic treatment: Not redescribed.
Remarks: The record of C. capensis in Lessert (1936), a paper dealing largely with Mozambican spiders, is clearly indicated as being Lüderitzbucht [=Lüderitz] in Afrique Sud-occidentale [= Namibia], so the distribution in the WSC is erroneous. Consider- ing the relatively restricted ranges of most Caponia Simon, 1890 in South Africa (Dippenaar-Schoeman et al. 2010), even this record from Namibia may be a misidentification.
Diploglena sp. [juveniles]: 232 [F]
Localities in Purcell (1908) and countries: Port Nolloth, Little Namaqualand [RSA].
Distribution in WSC: n/a.
Recent taxonomic treatment: Haddad (2015).
Remark: These juveniles might belong to either D. arida Haddad, 2015 or D. karooica Haddad, 2015, both of which occur in the extreme north-western Northern Cape in the vicinity of Port Nolloth (Haddad 2015).
