TYPE LOCALITY: Guyana .

DISTRIBUTION: S. Tamaulipas and Guerrero (possibly Michoacan) (Mexico) to the Mato Grosso of Brasil.

COMMENT: Includes chapadensis, megalotus, meridensis, modestus, nocturnus and prehensilis; see Cabrera, 1958:249-252, and Hall, 1981:977-978.
