Eurythmelus clavatus Ogloblin 1934: 247 –249. Type locality: Loreto, Misiones, Argentina. Erythmelus (Erythmelus) clavatus Ogloblin: Triapitsyn et al. 2007: 21 –23 (taxonomic history, type information, redescription, illustrations, diagnosis).

Material examined. MEXICO *. Veracruz, 3 km W of Fortín de las Flores, Cañón del Río Mentlas (Metlak), 6.vii.1981, J. LaSalle [1♀, CNC].

Comments. In this Mexican specimen, the antennal scape is about 6× long as wide and not dilated in the middle.
