Etymology. The specific name of new species “ inflatistyla ” derives from the greatly swollen base of gonostylus.
Diagnosis. Only species of Forcipomyia (Lepidohelea) from the Oriental realm is separated by the large swollen gonostylus base (Fig. 2I); tarsomere I of hind leg abruptly swollen at the middle; caudomedian excavation ‘U” shaped (Fig. 2J); submedian process of parameres short with blunt end (Fig. 2F); basal arms of aedeagus long, roughly triangular (Fig. 2G); two large spermathecae without any neck and punctation, oval shaped (Fig. 2P).
Type Material. Holotype ♂, India, West Bengal, Alipurduar, Jayanti (26.700772°N, 89.614778°E), 27.viii.2023, Col. G.S. Pal. Paratypes 5♂♂ and 4♀♀, same data as holotype .
