Comments. Judging from the original description, Leprostictopsylla jiuzhaiensis Li, 2011, is congeneric with Aphorma indica, making Leprostictopsylla a junior synonym of Aphorma . For this reason we synonymise the two genera and transfer one species as follows. Aphorma Hodkinson, 1974, type-species Aphalara bagnalli Hodkinson, 1974, by original designation and monotypy = Leprostictopsylla Li, 2011, type-species Leprostictopsylla jiuzhaiensis Li, 2011, by original designation and monotypy, syn. nov. Aphorma jiuzhaiensis (Li, 2011), comb. nov. from Leprostictopsylla .
