PHENOLOGY.— Flowering: February–May; fruiting: May.

DISTRIBUTION.— Mexico (Tamps.).

HABITAT.— Tropical deciduous forest, oak woodland, riparian vegetation ( Myriocarpa, Taxodium, Bauhinia, Quercus, Populus), sometimes on limestone.

ELEVATION.— 250–1470 meters.

NOTES.— Daniel (1983b) provided a description of Holographis tamaulipica (Fig. 2J), which is endemic to Tamaulipas. With an EOO of 6,295 km 2 and an AOO of 40 km 2 this species could potentially be assessed as either vulnerable (VU) or endangered (EN) if threats and their impacts were to be identified (IUCN 2019).
