Thalamita macrodonta Borradaile, 1902 Fig. 1F
Material examined.
1 young female (8.4 × 5.8 mm), 8°22.727'N, 76°43.545'E, 50 m.
Remarks.
Borradaile (1902) described Thalamita exetastica macrodonta from two specimens from two islands in the Maldives, Kolumadulu and Suvadiva. Crosnier (1975) examined the syntypes and commented that the two specimens are not conspecific. He noted that the specimen from Kolumadulu Island was almost certainly T. sexlobata Miers, 1886, while the other from Suvadiva Island is the actual T. macrodonta which he treated as a distinct species. Apel and Spiridonov (1998) re-examined the type material and selected the second syntype from Suvadiva as the lectotype of T. macrodonta s. str.
The present specimen from India is incomplete and not in good condition, but agrees with the description and figures of T. macrodonta by Crosnier (1975: fig. 4c, d) and Apel and Spiridonov (1998: fig. 59).
