Diagnosis. This species is one of the largest species in the genus Nematopogon and can be easily distinguished by the white mark near the middle of dorsum and a white subtornal mark at the forewing. Additionally, the valva in the male genitalia of this species has three pectinifers, while only one in the other Chinese species.

Specimens examined. Not available in this study.

Distribution. China (northern part, including Beijing); Russia, Japan, Korea.

Remarks. This species is widely distributed in the East Palearctic region, from the Russian Far East to Northern China and Japan.
