Genus Xestophrys Redtenbacher, 1891

Diagnosis: Body large, fastigium of vertex elongate, triangularly rounded with blunt apex; usually pointed at the tip. Notch between fastigium of vertex and frons closed, without tubercle at the base. Pronotum without lateral carinae, lateral lobe of pronotum elongate with deep triangular humeral sinus. Prosternum with two long narrow projections, lower side of hind femora with 8–10 spines. Tegmina well developed, hind wings not extending beyond tegmina. Male cerci conical with incurved apex; the basal inner tooth upwardly curved, with smooth apex, female subgenital plate triangular, with distinct rounded excision on posterior margin, ovipositor as long as or shorter than hind femur, straight; valvae of ovipositor strongly widened apically.
