Isoperla bimaculata Yang & Yang, 1996 . Journal of China Agricultural University, 1(5): 116; Yang & Li, 2018. Species Catalogue of China. Vol. 2. Animals, Insecta (III), Plecoptera: 49.

Type information. Holotype female, China: Inner Mongolia, Xing’an League, Zhaqi (Jalaid Banner). 1983.VI.13.

Remarks. Only the female of this species was described by Yang & Yang (1996). The female was characterized by the V-shaped subgenital plate and the cleft sternum 9 (Fig. 1 A–1B; see fig. 3 in Yang & Yang 1996), which is unusual in Isoperla and may be an artifact of the dried specimen. Color pattern of this species wasindicated as: head yellow, ocellar area with a dark stigma; pronotum yellow, laterally with two wide, dark stripes; legs pale brown; abdominal terga dark, sterna pale brown (Yang & Yang 1996, in Chinese). New material needs to be examined to determine the status of this taxon, especially associated male with everted aedeagus.
