Diagnosis. Male (Fig. 3C) 5.1–6.8 mm. Body color mainly pale yellow, with yellowish pubescences; head (Fig. 4 C) mostly yellow; later part in the middle of eyes black; yellowish part of head pale yellow at apical margin; the area behind antennal sockets gradually darker than the anterior part of antennal sockets; anterior margin of blackish part with a ‘reversed hat’ shape with a sinuate floor; mandible dark brown with pale yellow basal part; maxillary and labial palpi yellow; antennae dusky yellow; pronotum with pale yellow margin and blackish median disc; middle area of lateral margins slightly darker than disc; scutellum, mesothorax and metathorax black; abdomen black, but distal half of sixth abdominal segment, and seventh segment yellow; elytra pale yellow; legs yellow; tarsal claws brown. Pronotum 1.06 times wider than long; lateral margins sinuate, with obtuse anterior angles and acute posterior angles; posterior angles slightly projected to each side; posterior margin 1.50 times wider than anterior margin. Aedeagus (Fig. 5 C, G, K) oblong in outline, length 1.67 times longer than width; dorsal processes relatively short, ratio of dorsal process: aedeagus = 1.1: 4.0, ‘U’ shape to base, gradually narrowed distally, with round apex (Fig. 5 C); ventral process relatively thick, cleaver-like rounded on underside in lateral view (Fig. 5 G), curved outwards basally, then inwards at distal fourth, widest basally, slightly narrowed distally, then suddenly narrowed at distal fourth with round apex in ventral view (Fig. 5 G).

Female (Fig. 3G). 6.0– 7.1 mm. Color darker than male; anterior margin of blackish part of head (Fig. 4 G) with a ‘reversed ’ shape with a flat floor; body somewhat longer and wider than male; eyes relatively smaller than male, ratio of eye diameter to inter-ocular space, 17: 36; each tarsal claw with blunt basal tooth.
