Type data. SNELLING (1974) described this species based on male and female specimens collected by the same collector in the same type locality of C. aethyctera ‒E. R. Heithaus at Hacienda Comelco, Guanacaste Province, Costa Rica ‒ visiting Caesalpinia ( Fabaceae). The holotype is deposited at LACM.
