Chaetonerius Hendel

Chaetonerius Hendel, 1903: 205 . Type-species: Nerius inermis Schiner, 1868 (original designation).

Diagnosis. First flagellomere ovate with apex narrow and rounded. Antennal base absent or undeveloped. Scape and pedicel short, together as long as or shorter than first flagellomere. Face exposed anteriorly between antennae in dorsal view. Vibrissa absent. Scutum with one short dorsocentral seta on anterior margin (referred as scapular by Aczél (1961)). Four well-developed dorsocentral setae: one presutural and three postsutural setae (except in Chaetonerius latifemur Enderlein, with two postsutural setae present). Scutellum with apical seta longer than dorsocentral seta and well-developed discal scutellar seta. Fore coxa with two antero-apical setae and one posteroapical seta; mid and hind coxae with two lateral setae.
