Taxonomic notes. Eiphosoma sinecarenatum sp. nov. belongs to the Eiphosoma vitticolle species-group. Among the species that make up this group, the closest species is Eiphosoma laphygmae that presents smooth and polished propodeum, with anterior and present transverse carina; yellow mesoscutellum, completely punctate with two lateral black stripes and a central one that extends from the anterior part to the base of the scutellum; however, E. sinecarenatum sp. nov., has striate propodeum with absence of anterior and posterior transverse carina; mesoscutellum mostly black with two small yellow marks on the front of the notaulus, centrally punctate, lateral lobes weakly punctate on front.
