Melittia distincta Le Cerf, 1916

Material examined. 1 ♂ 1 ♀, West China, Kwanhsien [Prov. Sichuan, Chengdu area], 21.vii.1926, G. M. Franck (MNHB).

M. distincta was originally described from Khasis, north-eastern India (Arita & Gorbunov 1996). It is also known from Nepal (as M. nepcha, Arita & Gorbunov 1995b) and Vietnam (Kallies & Arita 2004) and is recorded here from China for the first time.
