Remarks. Diaparsis pulchra is closely related to the Trans-palaearctic species D. rara Horstmann, but differs by the characters given in the table below:

Four specimens from the Russian Far East treated as D. rara, var. (Khalaim 2005: 423) really belong to D. pulchra . We confirm our earlier record of D. rara from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region of China (Khalaim & Sheng 2009: 72).

Variation. One female from Spassk-Dalniy (Russia) has the ovipositor sheath shorter, only 1.15× as long as the first tergite (1.6–1.8× in other material); otherwise this female corresponds well with other material of D. pulchra .
