Colias thrasibulus fasciata Kocman, 1999
(Figs. 22, 25, 42–43, 45–46, 48 –50, 57, 67)
Colias montium fasciata Kocman, 1999: 55, pl. 7, fig. 4 for ♂ holotype (TL: Chiehku, Yushu); Grieshuber et al., 2012: 102, discussions on type series, type locality and taxonomic status, pl. 13, figs. 26–28 for ♂♂.
Colias thrasibulus fasciata: Kocman, 2003: 41; Grieshuber, 2014: 39, figs. for ♂ & ♀.
Material examined. CHINA: Qinghai: 6 ♂♂ & 2 ♀♀ (CSK, CHH, CWCH), on road from Yushu to Qumalai, 3900–4000m, 25.VI.2011 & 13.VII.2019, K. Song leg ..
Remarks. Only 5 ♂♂ (including holotype) and 1 ♀ are known from the literature. The authors figured further 5 ♂♂ and 2 ♀♀ in this work. This subspecies seems to be constantly dark on discal area of hindwing upper side. It is easily separable from the populations of C. thrasibulus thrasibulus Fruhstorfer, 1910 (= C. thrasibulus zanskarensis Hoshiai, 1996) from Ladak, Zanskar and W. Tibet. One of the male specimens from Namco area, NC. Tibet (Hoshiai, 1996: 8 -figs. 31–32; Grieshuber et al., 2012: pl. 13, fig. 25) is intermediate between C. thrasibulus thrasibulus and Colias thrasibulus fasciata .
Flight period. End of June to mid July.
Altitude. 3900–4000m
Distributional notes. The junior author collected this taxon from a locality on the road from Jiegu to Qumalai, he surveyed the vicinity of Jiegu but did not find this butterfly.
