Redescription. Antenna (Fig. 48, from female paratype) with postpedicel somewhat yellow with obtuse apex. Thorax (Figs 46–47). Mesopleuron yellowish brown, brown pruinose, except anepisternum with grey pruinescence anterodorsally; katatergite somewhat yellow with sparse grey pruinescence. Mediotergite mostly brown pruinose. Legs (Fig. 46) dark brown, except apices of trochanters and femora and bases of tibiae yellow; femora with grey pruinescence on the posterior face. Wing (Fig. 49, from female paratype). Length 8.0 mm. LTC/ LFC = 1.4. Membrane entirely hyaline. Abdomen (Fig. 47) dark brown to black, all tergites with interrupted bands of light brown pruinescence posteriorly. Tergite 6 and sternites 6 and 7 as in Fig. 51. Terminalia. Syntergosternite 8 with a relatively small circular membranous area (Fig. 52). Epandrium yellow, moderately inflated. Surstyli (Figs 53–54) subsymmetrical, apparently fused with epandrium, elongated ventrally but just slightly surpassing lateral margins of epandrium (Figs 55–56). Phallic guide (Figs 57–59) short, almost as long as hypandrium; sinuous in ventral view (Fig. 58) and with a pronounced subapical concavity in lateral view (Fig. 59). Hypandrium with distinct lobes near base of phallic guide (Fig. 57). Basal processes of phallus large, surpassing the hypandrium width (Figs 57, 59). Phallus with very small projections apically (Fig. 60). Ejaculatory apodeme as in Fig. 61.

Female known and described (Rafael & Rosa, 1991: 343). Frons and face with grey pruinescence. Wing entirely hyaline. Abdominal tergites with interrupted bands of grey pruinescence posterolaterally. Ovipositor. OL: 1.3 mm; PL: 0.9 mm; B: 0.4 mm. Base dark brown to black, grey pruinose. Piercer yellowish brown, distal part shining and nearly straight, just slightly curved at tip.

Holotype condition. Head glued on the scutum (Fig. 46). Antennae lost. Left wing lost; right wing folded and slightly damaged; terminalia placed in a microvial with glycerin.

Geographical distribution. This species is known only from the type locality, Roraima, Brazil (Fig. 183).

Habitat. This species was collected with Malaise traps at ground level and suspended traps in the canopy of the Brazilian Amazon rainforest.
