Geographic & bathymetric distribution. Western Atlantic Ocean: from S of Greenland to Brazil (Río de Janeiro); Eastern Atlantic Ocean; Indo-Pacific Ocean; 25 – 4594 m depth, more abundant between 300 – 600 m depth (Alves-Junior et al. 2019).

Remarks. Previous records for Venezuela: off E La Orchila Island, off N La Tortuga Island (Judkins 2014).
