Geographic & bathymetric distribution. Western Atlantic: from USA (Hudson Canyon, New Jersey) and Gulf of Mexico to Brazil (Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Rio Grande do Sul); Eastern Atlantic; 300 – 2163 m (Cardoso et al. 2020).

Remarks. The only record of this species in Venezuela is from Falcón state (Pérez Farfante 1977).
