Geographic & bathymetric distribution. Atlantic Ocean: North Atlantic, Caribbean and Mediterranean. Central Atlantic: off Morocco, Dakar, Congo, and Angola. South Atlantic. Indian Ocean: Eastern part, off Sri Lanka. Pacific: West Pacific, East Pacific, northeastern Pacific and off southern Japan, off the Philippines, Tasman Sea and northeast of New Zealand, Cook Strait; 330-2000 m depth (Vereshchaka 2000).
