Adult (Figs 6A, B): See also Park & De Prins (2019b, Fig. 3I).

Abdomen (Fig. 6G): See also Park & De Prins (2019b, Fig. 3F).

Male genitalia (Figs 6C–F): See also Park & De Prins (2019b, Figs 5D, E).

Distribution. Mozambique (Janse 1954), Namibia (Mey 2007), South Africa (Meyrick 1937), Zimbabwe (Janse 1954), DR Congo.

Remarks. Wingspan 12.0−15.0 mm. Male (Figs 6A, B). Lecithocera dicentropa, which was described from DR Congo, is synonymized here with L. ideologa . From the result of the comparison between the male genitalia of the holotype of L. dicentropa (gen. slide no. CIS-7139/Park, illustrated by Park & De Prins (2019a), deposited in RMCA) with those of L. ideologa (Holotype no. 578, illustrated by Janse 1954, Pl. 141, Fig. 2, deposited in TMSA), we concluded that they are conspecific. A small difference in the shape of the basal lobes of the uncus and the juxta are considered as infraspecific variations.
