Material examined. St 12, 06/11/2009, 10h–12h30, La Prévoyante reef, 12°41'34.70"S, 45° 9'59.99"E, coll. KUW fieldwork, scuba diving 6–11 m, sediment suction pump, Acropora coral grounds, in cylindrical sponge, 2 females (LC 2.4 and 2.5 mm), 1 ovigerous female (LC 2.6 mm, LT 9 mm), MNHN-Na 17580.
Colouration (fig. 17A). Body transparent blue, with green ovaries.
Distribution. Type locality Wasini Island Channel, Kenya. Also known from Australia (North-West Shelf).
Remarks. Bruce (2010) synonymized Typton nanus Bruce, 1987 as junior synonym of T. wasini Bruce, 1977 . The specimens agree well with the original descriptions and illustrations of Bruce (1977, 1987b). The species was not previously recorded from Mayotte with certainty. Colouration of the species is reported here for the first time. The specimens were found associated with cylindrical sponge (fig. 17B, C).
