Distribution: South-western Turkey and southern Iran (Wood & Monfared 2022). This rare species is known from only two isolated locations, 2000 km apart.

Flight period: March–April.

Flower records: None.

Pollen preferences: Unknown.

Remarks. Although Warncke described both sexes of this species, we could not locate any female paratypes or non-type material in his collection at OLML or in any other European collections holding material from Turkey and Iran. Therefore, no photographs are available for this sex, and the characters mentioned in the species key are based on Warncke’s description, or inferred from the male morphology.
