Diagnosis (male). White oval macula at basal two thirds of forefemur anterior face (Fig. 320); wing circular macula between M2 and CuA1.
Material examined. Holotype ♂, COSTA RICA: Puntarenas: Monteverde Biological Station, 10.33ºN, 84.79ºW, 9–18.iii.1995, Malaise trap, 1700m, B. Brown col. (LACM). Paratypes : 1♂, same as holotype; 4♂, Cartago: La Cangreja, 9.8ºN, 83.47ºW, vii.1991, Malaise trap, P. Hanson col. (LACM) ; 1♂, Guanacaste: Est. Cacao, 10.93ºN, 85.47ºW, ii.1989, Malaise trap, 900m, I. Gauld & D. Janzen col. (LACM).
Hypopygium description (Figs. 89–92). Hypopygium light brown, very similar to C. blomae, differing by the longer ventral lobe of the left epandrial process, and by the five setae on the hypoproct.
Geographical distribution. Costa Rica.
